Heat therapy involves alternating exposition to heat and cold. Visitors begin by spending 15 minutes in the sauna or Nordic baths, followed by a plunge into a pool of icy water. The resulting shock produces a number of benefits, including an almost instantaneous drop in stress levels. Alternating between heat and cold, in combination with the water’s curative properties, promotes circulation and eliminate toxins in the body while simultaneously relaxing sore muscles. Other benefits include a decrease in nervous tension and a sensation of immense well-being. Heat therapy also helps eliminate mental and physical fatigue, promotes weight loss, enhances concentration, soothes aches and pains, and helps relieve mild circulatory disorders.

The place

Geos Spa Sacacomie, derives its name from the Greek word “geos,” meaning “Earth.” Equipped with 24 geothermal wells that tunnel some 150 metres down into the bedrock, this Geos Spa was built in the midst of a forest, high above spectacular Lac Sacacomie, an imposing landscape of mountains and valleys that evokes feelings of calm and serenity.
