Right from the beginning, the resort’s founders made protecting the natural environment a priority.

Determined to put their values into action, they decided to go still further by developing an Integrated Sustainable Development Plan, the first step of which was to build a health centre—Geos-Spa Sacacomie—eligible for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification.

Going beyond environmentally friendly construction, the plan adopted by Geos-Spa Sacacomie and Hotel Sacacomie is based on solid research and aims to generate real social, environmental and financial benefits.

The plan’s implementation will be overseen by RPM Développement Durable inc., specialists in sustainable development, and carried out step by step over the next few years.
